Providenza is a multidisciplinary artist residency located in the midst of nature in the Corsican mountains which goal is to foster creation by promoting the breaking down of boundaries between disciplines and cultures. Designed as a life-size experimentation field, Providenza offers an exceptional working environment where the connection with nature is a source of creativity, focus, care, and rest.
Its flagship program consists in an annual five week long residency open to all disciplines, all nationalities, established as well as emergent artists.
A special attention is given to cinema, music and research projects that maintain a critical and sensitive relationship with the interweaving of contemporary political and environmental issues, especially in the complex relationships that develop between the living world, human societies, and technology.
