Simon Johannin and Stelios.exe meet at Providenza in October to continue working on the musical composition of Demande à la brûlure, as part of a writing residency initiated by the Collectivité de Corse.
To mark the end of his residency, Simon Johannin presents a poetic performance accompanied by the live instrumentation of Stelios.exe.
Through a shared creative process, words and sounds come together to form a musical expression addressed to the audience, as well as to the unseen. Images, music and poetry interact, creating a space in which powerful and subtle emotions emerge.
Demande à la brûlure explores a rupture in space and time. Simon Johannin performs a series of poems in dialogue with the sounds and rhythms of Stelios.exe’s instruments, bringing their respective practices together on the threshold of trance. Through this encounter, words and sounds combine to create a composition addressed to the audience and to the unseen, opening up a space where images, music and poetry intertwine and emotions emerge in all their intensity and subtlety.
