Monday 15.06 - Meeting with Baptiste Morizot

As part of a residency at Providenza, developed in partnership with the Villa Medici and INRAE for the writing of a text exploring citrus fruits, Baptiste Morizot will be welcomed by Arte Libri at Casa Salvini on 15 June at 06:00 pm for a public conversation and exchange about his residency and the Corsican territory.

A limited number of copies of his latest publication, Freedom, Dignity, Habitability: Giving the Century the Value It Lacks (Gallimard, Tracts series), co-authored with jurist Laurent Neyret, will be available on site.

Friday 26.06 - A festa di e piante - A Cucina Opening

Shortly after the summer solstice, A Cucina, Providenza’s farm-to-table restaurant, reopens for the summer season.

The occasion brings together a collective walk through the vegetable gardens, participatory workshops around the herbs of the aromatic amphitheatre alongside the Corsican forager Francesca Desideri and gardener and writer Emmy. A Cucina will celebrate the first chef-in-residence, gathering everyone around a farm-to-table snacking and buffet celebrating summer.

A festa di e piante also marks the end of the first cycle of the main residency program, with an open moment of sharing imagined by the residents themselves (films, screenings, discussions).

Wednesday 26.08 & Thursday 27.08 - Providenza Festival

On August 26 and 27, Providenza opens to the public for two evening events and a summer day gathering.

August 26

  • 4:30–6:00 pm : Ceramics workshop for children (hand-building techniques) with Bastia-based ceramic artist Valérie Lagrue (Les Modeleuses). €55 for 2 parents + 1 child, €25 for 1 parent + 1 child, then €15 for each additional child. Booking by email at lagrue.valerie@orange.fr, by text message at +33 (0)7 88 30 99 53, or via Instagram @les_modeleuses_poterie
  • From 6:30 pm : Summer snacks and sharing plates at A Cucina, by our chef-in-residence Sarah Fruteau de Laclos. No reservation required.
  • 8:00 pm : ELYSIUM by Théo Casciani and Lennart Boyd Schürmann with Elena Francalanci and Perle Palombe. Elysium turns a field on the island of Corsica into a "reality game“. A speculative departure towards the realm of the dead unfolds along a series of transfigurations: spirits become avatars, flowers become weapons, a book becomes a corpse and desolation becomes desire. The performance features music by composer Alif Hilal (fka. Lyra Pramuk) and the Corsican polyphonic group A Filetta. It is an episode towards the development of the theatrical work Insula by Lennart Boyd Schürmann and Théo Casciani, based on Casciani’s eponymous novel (Éditions P.O.L, 2026).
  • 9:30 pm : Screening of Bouchra, directed by Meriem Bennani. Synopsis : Bouchra, a 35-year-old Moroccan filmmaker living in New York, is paralyzed by writer's block. A phone call from her mother in Casablanca awakens long-buried memories and emotions. As their gentle and fragile conversation unfolds, a crack begins to open - bringing back images, inspiration, and desire.

August 27

  • 10:30 pm : Live performance by Melanin. For this edition of the festival, Melanin will present a live ambient and progressive performance, where electronic textures intertwine with the transverse flute and vocalizations. Conceived as an invitation to dream and experiment, this immersive performance creates a listening space that encourages inner journeys and imaginative exploration.

Myriam Konté, known as Melanin, is a Paris-based DJ and multi-instrumentalist whose work explores the notion of multiple identities through music and performance. Drawing inspiration from dub and club culture - from Chicago house and Jersey club to bass music and breakbeat - Melanin creates captivating, nostalgic sonic narratives. A regular guest at leading cultural institutions including the Bourse de Commerce, BOZAR, and the Palais de Tokyo, she has also collaborated with brands such as Nike, agnès b., Loewe, and Acne Studios.

  • 11:30 pm : Bastia-based collective Valhalla presents two live DJ sets by Blinkduus Dischetto and Azan Caro

Blinkduus Dischetto

A multi-instrumentalist from an early age, he later turned to computer-assisted music and composition, earning a degree in Sound Engineering from the Conservatoire de Paris. He conceives what he calls the Global Work of Sound as a living ecosystem in which artistic creation, technical expertise, and personal research continuously inform one another. For him, the exchange of ideas between artists, craftspeople, and collaborators emerges from an ongoing process of exploration, shaped by encounters, shared experiences, and collective projects. His personal practice enriches the work he creates for others, while every commission challenges him to question, expand, and refine his artistic approach. Each new project offers an opportunity to reveal new dimensions of his sonic language and creative vision. He is also co-head of Digital Finesse, an independent electronic music label based in Ajaccio, Corsica.

Azan Caro

Created in 2022, Azan Caro is the project of a young producer, composer, and DJ whose prolific output reflects a distinctive artistic vision. Blending modern pop with electronic music, Azan Caro crafts an elegant, uninhibited, and vibrant sound. Although primarily instrumental, his music remains organic and tangible, combining a strong acoustic identity with powerful electronic textures. It develops into a coherent and immersive body of work that is both refined and deeply expressive. His performances establish a unique dialogue with the audience, drawing listeners into an ever-evolving live experience where energy, emotion, and intensity converge, leaving a lasting impression. His productions have been released on several European labels, including Bipolar Disorder, Selected Berlin, NALI, Thump Out Traxx, and Area Paris. Supported by artists such as Ellen Allien, Takaaki Itoh, Joseph Capriati, and François X, he notably contributed to the vinyl project Walk With Me – 1st Issue on NALI, alongside Trudge, MRD, Caiva, Julian Muller, Chlar, Xiorro, and Askkin. His collaborative EP with Blame The Mono, released on Selected Berlin, has now surpassed 70,000 streams across digital platforms. He performs regularly throughout France and Europe and has notably provided the official after-party DJ sets for screenings during the Cannes Film Festival.
