Monday 15.06 - Meeting with Baptiste Morizot

As part of a residency at Providenza, developed in partnership with the Villa Medici and INRAE for the writing of a text exploring citrus fruits, Baptiste Morizot will be welcomed by Arte Libri at Casa Salvini on 15 June at 06:00 pm for a public conversation and exchange about his residency and the Corsican territory.

A limited number of copies of his latest publication, Freedom, Dignity, Habitability: Giving the Century the Value It Lacks (Gallimard, Tracts series), co-authored with jurist Laurent Neyret, will be available on site.

Friday 26.06 - A festa di e piante - A Cucina Opening

Shortly after the summer solstice, A Cucina, Providenza’s farm-to-table restaurant, reopens for the summer season.

The occasion brings together a collective walk through the vegetable gardens, participatory workshops around the herbs of the aromatic amphitheatre alongside the Corsican forager Francesca Desideri and gardener and writer Emmy. A Cucina will celebrate the first chef-in-residence, gathering everyone around a farm-to-table snacking and buffet celebrating summer.

A festa di e piante also marks the end of the first cycle of the main residency program, with an open moment of sharing imagined by the residents themselves (films, screenings, discussions).

Wednesday 26.08 & Thursday 27.08 - Providenza Festival

On August 26 and 27, Providenza opens to the public for two evening events and a summer day gathering.

August 26 features a stage adaptation of the novel Insula by Théo Casciani, directed by Lennart Boyd Schürmann. Conceived during an initial residency period in April with composer Lyra Pramuk, the project led to a first sonic exploration of Corsican polyphonic singing, in collaboration with A Filetta, blending traditional voices with electronic textures.

The evening continues with a summer buffet at Providenza’s farm-to-table restaurant, A Cucina, followed by an open-air screening program under the stars, curated by the artists in residence.

The day of August 27 unfolds around the preservation and transformation on the soil, offering an exploration of the grounds and a ceramics workshop led by Corsican ceramic artist Anna Toussaint and her Bastia-based studio Atelier Santandrea. The A Cucina bar serves snacks and herbal infusions throughout the day and into the evening, which once again takes over the outdoor screen: Biennale De Renava, FRAC Corsica, and Providenza collaborate on a short-film program dedicated to the theme of Celebration — the central theme of the 2026 Biennale edition — joined by the Corsican collective Valhalla, who will continue the evening with a DJ set.

Culinary residencies

From the 26th of June until September 12th, 3 different chefs have been selected to do a residency in our farm to table A Cucina : Chakib Mazari, Sarah Fruteau de Laclos, Valentine Desmoulins (Villa Medici 2026).
